What do you attribute your success to?
I come from a small town—my high school graduating class had only twenty-three students. From early on, I was determined to break the cycle within my family and become the first to earn a college degree. While education wasn’t a requirement in my career path, I knew it was essential for my personal growth and long-term success. I’ve always believed in combining hands-on experience with formal education. That combination has played a major role in my ability to grow, take on new responsibilities, and advance in my career.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I’ve received is to keep pushing forward—consistency is key. Whether it's the first call or the hundredth, you have to stay committed and persistent. In staffing, where it feels like there’s an agency on every corner, what sets you apart isn’t just your pitch—it’s you. People do business with people they trust and connect with, so building authentic relationships is everything.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Knowledge is power. The more you educate yourself and communicate with authenticity—rather than sounding overly “salesy”—the more successful you’ll be. I’ve also found that using humor, especially when interacting with gatekeepers, can go a long way. It makes you memorable and helps build rapport quickly in an industry where first impressions matter.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges we face is the psychological impact of economic uncertainty. When businesses hear the word "recession," many tend to buy into the fear, which often leads to hesitation in hiring or exploring new ideas. However, at Indeed Flex, we've seen a different trend—we’re experiencing significant growth and expansion. In fact, we’re opening 15 new locations, which reflects both the resilience of the staffing industry and the demand for flexible workforce solutions.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I strongly believe in a “family first” approach. Ensuring that employees feel supported at home creates a foundation for a more positive and productive work experience. I also value the importance of every interaction—whether in a professional sales role or in my personal life. People remember how you make them feel, and meaningful connections are built on authenticity and respect. Professionally, I strive to be better than I was yesterday. Embracing change and remaining adaptable is a personal mission of mine—especially in an ever-evolving industry where growth requires flexibility and a willingness to evolve.
